End of Year Book Tag

November seems like a good time to do the ‘End of Year Book Tag’ created by Ariel Bissett on Youtube. Here are the questions:

Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?

I’ve DNF-ed like never before this year and I have no plans to revisit any of those books. The only one I may potentially reconsider near Christmas time is In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren.

Do you have an autumnal book to transition into the end of the year?

My current read i.e. The Forest by Edward Rutherfurd follows a forest in the UK over multiple years and the changes coming with every season. The book is about a lot more than that but I’m keeping this answer season specific.

Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?

The book I’m going to mention has already been released, however, I’ve not had a chance to read it yet so the answer is still valid: Bookshops & Bonedust by Travis Baldree.

What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?

I’d like to read some of the Goodreads Choice Awards nominees in the historical fiction and fantasy categories. I’ve read surprisingly little.

Is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favorite of the year?

I hope to read some more Maggie O’Farrell and I do tend to like her writing. I guess we’ll see how that goes when I post my favorite reads of 2023.

Have you already started making reading plans for 2024?

The only plan I have at the moment is to read more of the books I already own and purchase less books. Fingers crossed.

What are your reading plans for the end of the year?
