Home was recently the recommended audiobook on Scribd, it was relatively short and I decided to give it a try. Plus, this cute cover helped a lot too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main character is Anna, who’s grown in foster care, proceeded to study in Oxford and became a housesitter. Now, house sitting sounds like a fascinating concept. It’s not something that exist where I’m from but we’ve all seen The Holiday movie.

Eventually, all the houses become a little much for our hero Anna, who grew up in foster care, and is coming to appreciate the thought of a place to call her own home and have a permanent address. The fact that she sees an accident and cannot be a witness drives the point home for her. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She misses her parents and questions what happened, but also makes some very good friends that kind of turn into her own little family. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The writing style is not my favorite, but I was really interested to know if Anna will come to call a place home. There was scenes in there that I didn’t quite care for, but overall this was an okay read. I appreciate the idea, but the execution has me rounding this up to a 3 star read.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
