Today’s topic is Most Anticipated Books Releasing During the Second Half of 2023, but looking through the list I put together at the beginning of the year, most of those books have already come out. So, here’s my mid-year book freak out book tag instead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Best book you\u2019ve read so far in 2023?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I thought this would take some thought, considering I’ve read 60+ books so far….and yet, the answer is simple: Holding Up the Universe by Jennifer Niven! It’d be interesting to see if anything changes in my end of year reading wrap up. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Best sequel you\u2019ve read so far in 2023?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ve only read a few sequels and out of those I’d only name The Sandman: Act II (Sandman Audible Original) by Neil Gaiman. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. New release you haven\u2019t read yet, but want to.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Love, Theoretically by Ali Hazelwood. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Most anticipated release for the second half of the year.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Armour of Light (Kingsbridge #4) by Ken Follett. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Biggest disappointment.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My Year of Rest and Relaxation by Ottessa Moshfegh. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Biggest surprise.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three Apples Fell From the Sky by Narine Abgaryan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. Favourite new author. (Debut or new to you)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jennifer Niven without a doubt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

8. Newest fictional crush.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

No one comes to mind on this one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

9.  Newest favourite character.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The husband who’s name I cannot remember from Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears by Valentin Chernykh. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

10. Book that made you cry.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

No such read yet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

11. Book that made you happy.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Anne of Green Gables graphic novel<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

12. Most beautiful book you\u2019ve bought so far this year (or received)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This edition<\/a> of Le Morte D’Arthur by Sir Thomas Malory. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

13. What books do you need to read by the end of the year?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ken Follet’s new book, more classics overall and more Beth O’Leary books. I seem to be in a contemporary mood as I’m writing this. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
