Books I Could Re-read Forever

Today I’m doing a freebie prompt and I decided to share a list of book I’d keep rereading.

  1. Heidi by Johanna Spyri – a favorite since childhood and one of my all time favorite books;
  2. The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien – the very first fantasy book I ever read and as such holds a special place in my heart;
  3. Stardust by Neil Gaiman – as it has a touch of romance and touch of whimsy and it’s relative short i.e. a quick reread;
  4. Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery – a good book and one definitely worth a reread;
  5. And Every Morning the Way Home Gets Longer and Longer by Fredrik Backman – a short and sad non-fiction title everyone could learn something from;
  6. 1984 by George Orwell – as it seems more relevant than ever;
  7. What I Talk About When I Talk About Running by Haruki Murakami – to remind us that it’s never too late to do what we want to do;
  8. Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl – as it discusses things we all need to be reminded of;
  9. Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert – to get the creative juices going;
  10. A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson – a lot of gems in this one, but also a lot of detail it’s easy to forget, definitely one to reread.

Have you read / reread any of these? Leave your TTT in the comments below.

  1. I’m not one to reread books; never really have been. But I could see myself reading Anne of Green Gables over and over.

    Anne of Green Gables is a gem.

  3. I’ve read several of these! Anne, of course, Orwell, and the Hobbit. I keep meaning to read Frankl.

    Though I’ve seen the movie a few times, I always forget that Stardust was first a book. Also, despite loving the cinematic stories, I haven’t ever read Anne or Heidi. Both should be added to my list even if only for nostalgic purposes. 🙂 Thanks so much for visiting my website today!

    I’m not much of a re-reader, but I do love The Hobbit. It was my first fantasy novel, too, in 8th grade.

    Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!

    Love your topic! I love to reared my favorites over and over. I’ve reread more books this year than any other year. 57% of the books I’ve read this year are rereads. 😀 Thanks for stopping by my blog!

  7. I loved Anne of Green Gables but I am struggling to recall if I have ever read Heidi! i don’t think I have. Great list. Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier.

  8. I love the first four books too. I haven’t read any of the others, although I have loved both the Backman books I’ve read so far.

    Happy belated TTT!
