My Middle Grade Book Recommendations

Today’s topic is bookish pet peeves, however, I wanted to give a shout out to my favorite middle grade novels as I’ve been loving those lately. I plan on coming back to this week’s topic at a later date.

Here are 11 middle grade recommendations (10 part of a series) and a bonus standalone:

Bonus – The Girl Who Drank the Moon by Kelly Barnhill (the only one not part of a series)- possible the darkest one of all suggested, if you can listen to the audiobook, do so! It’s about a girl developing her magic powers and more.

Nevermoor Series by Jessica Townsend (image shows book 1 and 2, currently there’s 3 books out)- for any fan of Harry Potter fan. And you guessed it, there’s magic!

The Shakespeare Mysteries Series by Deron R. Hicks (both books shown)- a lovely mystery series. Journey through literary works and visiting some well known locations all with a greater goal in mind. The only one that doesn’t feature magic as such, but it’s quite a good regardless.

A Pinch of Magic Series by Michelle Harrison (all three books shown)- A fantasy series about three sisters on a missions to break the curse placed on their family.

Pages & Co. Series by Anna James (3 books shown, only 3 are out for now) – the adventures of Tilly who can wander through books, it’s pure magic.

I love a good middle grade series but haven’t read MG in quite some time. I kinda miss reviewing them.

  2. I listened to Tilly & the Bookwanderers earlier this year. I hope to find the time to read the rest of the series.

Oh yes I love Nevermoor and Tilly! I read the first A Pinch of Magic and have really liked that too. I’ll have to look up the Shakespear mysteries.
