At Home by Bill Bryson

This was such an interesting read!

Guiding us through each room and hallway in a typical clergyman’s home in the Victorian era with his unique storytelling, historical events and entertaining anecdotes related to the room in one way or another.

I’ve read several Bryson books by now and this is the one I just couldn’t put down.

From a seemingly insignificant archeological discovery connected to the hall to the ceiling, or from the plague to the publication of Darwin’s theory of evolution, crossing the ocean to visit Thomas Jefferson’s home in Virginia, etc.

If there was a second part, I would read it right away 😇

I recommend it for those who have read Bryson, for philologists, historians and all curious readers 📖
