Today’s topic is Things That Make Me Instantly NOT Want to Read a Book. However, I’m turning 30 tomorrow and want to do a bit of a throwback to my ‘30 Before 30′ post from a year ago.

Let me begin by saying that I certainly did not read all 30 books listed there, some I lost interest in, some I just couldn’t get into, others I did not make time for. I probably won’t be doing this type of challenge for my 40th birthday.

Without further ado, here are the highlights from the books I did read from that list:

The underwhelming ones:

The ones I did not finish:

Lastly, the ones I hope to read before my next birthday:

Have you read any of these? Leave your thoughts and your TTT in the comments below.

I’ve never participated in any kind of book challenge as far as reading goes. It always felt like too much of a “burden” for the type of reading I am, but this was fun to see. I hope even with the ones you didn’t read or didn’t enjoy, you still found some that were good reads. 🙂 And HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I hope you have the best day AND 30 is a great year for you. 🙂

I liked The Radium Girls, but I did not finish it. Those poor girls suffered so much and for no good reason at all. 🙁

I’ve heard excellent things about Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee, but I haven’t had a chance to read it yet.
