This week’s topic is ‘Authors You Wish Were Still Writing Today’.
- Scott Lynch – I’m eagerly awaiting a new installment in Gentleman Bastard series;
- Patrick Rothfuss – will we ever see Doors of Stone?;
- George R.R. Martin – the next ASong of Ice and Fire being published seems the least likely from the 3 titles I’ve mentioned so far, doesn’t it? I’ve postponed reading the rest of the series (I’m on book 3) for that very reason;
- Andy Weir – I’d be excited to read anything new from Weir;
- Ken Follett – I’d love a new lengthy historical fiction series to read;
- Anthony Doerr – I love All the Light We Cannot See and Cloud Cuckoo Land and I’d love a new novel by Doerr;
- Haruki Murakami – I’m yet to read his latest novel, but I’d be happy to see the announcement for another novel;
- Kazuo Ishiguro – I’ve read all of his published works and would love to read some more;
- Jane Austen – because I wish I had more books of hers to read;
- Johanna Spyri – as she’s the author of my all time favorite book Heidi.
