- To discuss what you read with others
- To escape your reality
- To challenge you on a variety of topics
- To awaken your imagination
- To relax

I like #7. Reading is a great way to gain new perspectives. Something I’m reading may completely change my view on something, but usually it just gives me a new way to think about it. Instead of changing my mind, reading expands it, if that makes sense.
Happy TTT!

I agree with all of your reasons!
Yes to all of these! I love the bookish community and travelling from the comfort of my home especially 🙂
I love the fact that I can travel all around the universe, and even imaginary places, all for a quick trip to my local library! This list is great.
Escaping reality, imagination, those are big for me as well. So relaxing! And the book community as well. such a nice bonus 🙂
You are absolutely right on the smell of books! A total benefit.
“To learn something new or be reminded of something old.” I love how you phrased that! It’s so true how books can carry memories and make us think of so many things from our own lives. I also love how you mentioned that reading can challenge our thinking on a variety of topics, that’s a big one for me too. Great list!
I agree, it’s fun to discuss books with others.
Here’s my list!
I enjoy the smell of books! My husband laughs at me when I do it. He also laughs at me when I hug books.
