Oldest Books On My TBR

I’ve opted for oldest in terms of how long they’ve been on my TBR, not publication order. I’ve added these to my TBR in 2012 (the year I started using Goodreads). I should definitely clean that list up as there are so many books I’m no longer interested in reading on there. The 10 I’ve listed below I’d actually still like to read.
- Who Moved My Cheese by Spenser Johnson
- The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck
- For Whom the Bell Tolls by Ernest Hemingway
- The Professor by Charlotte Brontë
- The Warden by Anthony Trollope
- The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman
- Where’d You Go Bernadette by Maria Semple
- A Country Lost, Then Found by Rick Zedník
- Jane Austen’s Letters by Jane Austen
- Tell Me Your Dreams by Sidney Sheldon
What is the oldest book on your TBR? Leave your TTT in the comments.
I used Goodreads to generate my list and I’m pretty sure there are earlier published books I own that I’ve missed because I’ve not added them to Goodreads. A task for a rainy day perhaps…
The Grapes of Wrath was a good read.
Great list! I haven’t read any of these books but I’m sure my father had a copy of Who Moved My Cheese when I was a child but I never seriously read it. Maybe I should someday. Jane Austen’s Letters also sounds interesting 🙂

I have The Light Between Oceans on my TBR. Maybe I’ll get around to reading it in 2025. I did enjoy reading Where’d You Go, Bernadette. I found myself relating to her while I was reading.

I remember when WHO MOVED MY CHEESE? was on the bestseller lists. I’ve never read it, but it was very popular back in the day. I hope you enjoy it and these others.
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
