The Best Book I’ve Read Recently: The Radium Girls by Kate Moore
I’m back in the reading and blogging mood and read something I loved for the first time time since January. One book I recently read and loved is The Radium Girls by Kate Moore.
It’s a fantastic read and here’s what I liked so much about it:
- Fantastic audiobook narration
- Informative but doesn’t read like info dump after info dump
- It’s non-fiction so check my read more non-fiction goal for the year
- You’ll keep turning the pages or in my case listening until you’re done because you just can’t stop
- You will scream in outrage, but also cry
- Cheer for justice, life, for someone to listen, to do something, do anything to help these girls
- Be shocked that these events took place so recently
- My heart goes out to the families of these girls
- How easily one can change their mind on things based on individual or common interest
- Inspired me to hug those near you, let them know you love them
There you go, not quite a review but hopefully enough reasons for you to check out this book.
Let me know your thoughts if you’ve read it.
I like this review format and it made me interested in this book as I have no idea from your review what it is about! Interesting.
