Oh yeah I would totally rec the Graveyard book and Coraline for some easy Halloween reading.
I haven’t read Marina but I read another one of his shorter works that was pretty creepy.

  2. Greg says:

I would love to revisit Roald Dahl at some point, I loved his books so much as a kid.

    Happy Halloween!

  3. I did a similar theme this week. I totally forgot about Miss Peregrines series!!!

  4. Bag of Bones was such a super creepy read. Way too long (but what King book isn’t? lol) but definitely spooky.

  5. I’ve had The Thirteenth Tale on my TBR for such a long time – maybe it’s time for me to move it up in priority!

  6. I’ve only read The Witches from your list, and that’s about as scary as I can handle, haha! Happy Halloween!

I haven’t read any of these but they all seem like great Halloween recommendations!

The Witches is such a classic Halloween read!

Someday I should read The Witches!

Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!

  10. Nice list! I used to read a ton of Stephen King, but I’m getting really wimpy in my old age, so I’ve had to stop that. Case in point: I read CORALINE when I was alone in the house and I jumped at EVERY sound. It creeped me out and it’s a kid’s book!

    Happy TTT!

  11. I was a bit disappointed in Miss Peregine’s Home for Peculiar Children, but love pretty much anything by Roald Dahl or Stephen King.

  12. Ooh, I loved The Thirteenth Tale so much. The Witches is a good one too. 🙂

  13. Roald Dahl is an excellent addition to a Halloween reading list!

  15. I loved The Witches (and a lot of Roald Dahl) when I was little. Both The Historian and The Thirteenth Tale are on my TBR and bookshelves.

  16. I read The Thirteenth Tale last year and loved it. I can’t resist a book about books!

  17. I quite enjoyed The Graveyard Book. My daughter and I have not gotten to it yet but I am excited to read it with her soon!

  18. Morgan says:

I’ve read Dracula, The Graveyard Book and Coraline from your list, and totally agree! I didn’t know Carlos Ruiz Zafón had a spooky book!

  19. Despite owning both the book and DVD, I’ve never read/seen Miss Peregrine. Heard lots of people talk about it though! Maybe someday… 🙂 Thanks so much for visiting Finding Wonderland on this week. Appreciate it, as always.
