10 Books About Books On My TBR

Today’s topic is Online Resources for Book Lovers. Predictably, I’m doing my own thing and showing you 10 books about books that I’m yet to read:

Inkheart by Cornelia Funke – One cruel night, Meggie’s father reads aloud from a book called INKHEART– and an evil ruler escapes the boundaries of fiction and lands in their living room.

Ink and Bone by Rachel Caine – Ruthless and supremely powerful, the Great Library is now a presence in every major city, governing the flow of knowledge to the masses. Alchemy allows the Library to deliver the content of the greatest works of history instantly—but the personal ownership of books is expressly forbidden.

The Invisible Library by Genevieve Cogman – Irene is a professional spy for the mysterious Library, which harvests fiction from different realities.

The Reader by Traci Chee – The only clue to both her aunt’s disappearance and her father’s murder is the odd rectangular object her father left behind, an object she comes to realize is a book—a marvelous item unheard of in her otherwise illiterate society.

The Library of the Unwritten by A.J. Hackwith – In the first book in a brilliant new fantasy series, books that aren’t finished by their authors reside in the Library of the Unwritten in Hell, and it is up to the Librarian to track down any restless characters who emerge from those unfinished stories.

Dear Reader by Cathy Rentzenbrink – For as long as she can remember, Cathy Rentzenbrink has lost and found herself in stories. Growing up she was rarely seen without her nose in a book and read in secret long after lights out. When tragedy struck, books kept her afloat.

The Left-Handed Booksellers of London by Garth Nix – A girl’s quest to find her father leads her to an extended family of magical fighting booksellers who police the mythical Old World of England when it intrudes on the modern world.

A Deadly Education by Naomi NovikA Deadly Education is set at Scholomance, a school for the magically gifted where failure means certain death (for real) — until one girl, El, begins to unlock its many secrets.

The Bookshop of Dust and Dreams by Mindy Thompson – It’s 1944 Sutton, NY, and Poppy’s family owns and runs, Rhyme and Reason, a magical bookshop that caters to people from all different places and time periods.

Shelf Life: Chronicles of a Cairo Bookseller by Nadia Wassef – The streets of Cairo make strange music. The echoing calls to prayer; the raging insults hurled between drivers; the steady crescendo of horns honking; the shouts of street vendors; the television sets and radios blaring from every sidewalk. Nadia Wassef knows this song by heart. In 2002, with her sister, Hind, and their friend, Nihal, she founded Diwan, a fiercely independent bookstore.

  17. Haha, predictably. I often do twists and so do many others. I love books about books and will have come back to your list soon. Thanks.

I have read Inkheart and even though I’m not much into mysteries or fantasy, I really liked this one. Enjoy.

And thanks for visiting my TTT earlier.

  18. Great twist on the topic! I love books about books, but haven’t read any of these that you’ve shared.

  19. I remember I watched the Inkheart movie YEARS ago but haven’t ever read the book. Hope you enjoy ALL of these when you have the chance to read them – I have WAY too many unread books on my shelf. 🙂 Thanks for visiting Finding Wonderland on this week. 🙂
