A Very Merry Bromance by Lyssa Kay Adams
The fifth book in The Bromance Book Club series follows country music star Colton Wheeler and attorney Gretchen Winthrop.
Out just in time for you to read it for the upcoming holidays, this book follows a similar pattern to its predecessor books. By that I mean we have the bromance book club reading and discussing a romance novel, then one of its members is really into a girl but they can’t be together for X reason and everyone comes together to organize X grand gesture scene thereby getting another happy couple together.
This grand gesture wasn’t my favorite, nor does it feature my favorite couple, but I did appreciate the romance taking some time to develop (albeit via a time jump).
The best part about this is learning about whiskey history (albeit a fictional one, I think?) and the friendships. I also appreciate the humor and love of cheese that’s a recurring theme from previous books.
If there’s anymore books in the series I will definitely read as I’m committed at this point. Plus, they’re pretty quick reads to break up the heavier reads. However, my average rating of them is now under the 3 star mark which is on the low side even for me.
Have you read this book or previous books in the series? What did you think?
