Love Her or Lose Her | The Tessa Bailey Project

So, I accidentally read this whole ebook one night without realizing it’s book 2 in the Hot & Hammered series.

I only checked Goodreads to mark it as finished.

Admittedly, there was some clues such the feeling that we should know the characters and their marital struggles, as well as all their friends. But I decided to ignore that and read on. I’ve since read the other 2 books as well.

This one features Rosie and Dominic. Rosie is obsessed with cooking and wants her own restaurant. Dominic, recently back from army duty and joining a friend’s construction business, does not understand where the sudden request for counseling comes from. More a guru than counselor admittedly but Rosie has her reasons.

The unconventional approach of said guru was interesting and he’s quite a funny guy, sending the the pair on all sorts of activities and assigning homework.

It’s almost like them getting to know each other all over again, rediscovering their love and what they may or may not have lost along the way.

This has been the most difficult read so far, because of their background and of witnessing their struggles (some first hand, some retold). At the same time, I did not care much about this couple. I would, however, like to try Rosie’s cooking as everything she makes sounds delicious.

Mad respect for the ‘Just Us League’ and Rosie’s support group. Her friends are pretty amazing.

Stephen and his wife are a most hilarious couple, I’d love to read their origin story. I don’t think there is one yet, but I hope there will be.

Overall, this is the weakest book in the Hot & Hammered series, an observation I’m making after reading all three books.
