Upcoming Readathons and Spring TBR

Today’s TTT topic is all about Books On My Spring 2021 TBR. Seeing as I’m planning on participating in several readathons this spring, I’ll list those as well.

Live 48 Hour Bookopoly Readathon hosted by Becca and The Books and friends this upcoming weekend – watch the announcement video here. The first 2 rolls have been announced: read a book with a dark cover and read a fantasy.

I’m combining the two prompts and will be reading a fantasy with a dark cover and my pick also happens to be one of Becca’s favorite books and that is Fortuna Sworn by K.J. Sutton. The cover looks dark to me, okay? Thanks.

The remaining prompts will be announced during the reading sprints over the course of the weekend.

The 24 Raedathon hosted by Jadeyraereads on April 3rd, announcement video is yet to go live so not sure if there’s any prompts, if any I’ll try to read some of the books listed below.

On April 24th, the first readathon I ever participated will take place and that’s the Dewey’s 24 Readathon. No prompts, the idea to read as much as you can in the 24 hours. I’ll try to fit in some of the books below during that time.

The Silk Roads: A New History of the World by Peter Frankopan

A Tangle of Spells by Michelle Harrison

Foundation by Isaac Asimov

The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton

The Marriage of Opposites by Alice Hoffman

The Paying Guests by Sarah Waters

The Shadow and Bone Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo in anticipation of the Netflix adaptation.

I admit not all of these are the best readathon / reading challenge picks but I’d still like to read all of these books this spring.

  2. Great list! I keep meaning to try the Pinch of Magic series and I’ve heard The Silk Roads is brilliant.

  3. Great list! I need to read The Paying Guests as well, I absolutely love Sarah Waters!

  4. Isaac Asimov is usually a hit or miss; love or hate. I’m big on characters, so he’s a little ‘meh’ for me. Hope you enjoy these, though!

  14. I want to read that series by Leigh Bardugo. But will I ever make time, that is the question. Thanks for visiting my blog.

  18. Greg says:

I haven’t done a readathon in ages, And the Foundation series- I read the first book I think as a kid but it’s been so long. I wonder if I’d like Asimov now.

  19. I just finished up the Shadow and Bone trilogy for the Netflix show too. It really starts off strong. 🙂

Thanks for visiting my blog earlier.

  20. The Silk Roads looks REALLY intriguing. Love the cover. I have stalled on the Shadow and Bone trilogy and the Luminaries has been on my TBR for what feels like decades. Hopefully you’re more successful than I am, lol

  21. Good luck with your readathons!

  22. That looks like a pretty hefty list, but with several books on it which have been TBR far too long (The Luminaries expecially). Good luck with your readathons.

  23. Annemieke says:

On Foundation. I still have my eye on that though not all of Asimov’s stuff has been working for me. I hope you enjoy it!
