  1. I love Rutherford’s writing, so good to see it here. But Bronze Horseman is still on my TBR — not sure if I’m emotionally prepared for all that angst and pining!

    There’s some great hist fic choices on your list – The Bronze Horseman, All the Light We Cannot See, The Island and The Book Thief are all great choices.

  10. I haven’t read these, but do enjoy Historical fiction a lot lately.

  11. The Pillars of the Earth was the book that made me fall in love with historical fiction genre in the first place. But years later I read World Without End, and it’s not as captivating as Pillars.

  12. The only one here I’ve read was The Book Thief, but it was a DNF for me. I just struggled to stay connected to the story.
